After 10 year career in finance, I decided that what I really wanted in life was to spend more time doing the things that I love. I have always had a passion for photography, but whilst working found it hard to to dedicate the time it takes to develop the skills needed to consistently take excellent photographs. I decided to leave the city and focus on developing my photographic talent. I completed a 2 year foundation degree in photographic practice at the City of Westminster College, and followed on with an MA in Photography from the University of the Arts, London.

As the eldest of 5 siblings, I have always enjoyed communicating with children of all ages, drawing on their interest and encouraging them to have fun. It was a completely natural step for me to progress to specialise in family photography. To take truly beautiful photographs of people you need photographic skill, but equally important is an ability to communicate well with people, and put them at ease. I understand the importance of being comfortable and of having a lot of fun! It not only makes for a good experience, It is how the best pictures are made.
